wanting to get a air compressor for home use! what size HP brand all that kinda stuff shoudl i be looking for. i want something that isnt gonna go on every time a touch the trigger on an impact gun but i also want something that i can move around chuck in the back of my truck take to a friends house kinda deal. all help usefull

I have a "6 HP" (3 'real' HP) 220V portable with a 26-gallon tank. Its a bit small, so it kicks on often when running tools, but with 80% duty cycle I don't mind. I think mine is a Campbell Hausfeld VT6271 with a different paint job.

Craftsman, Husky, Ingersoll Rand, etc each have a their own 220V portable. Just make sure it has a proper oiled-type pump.

do you have an eaton compressor?? anyone else have one?? I've been looking at them and considering it but want extra oppinions from people that have them.
