sadler5000 02-10-2002, 09:22 AM i hv a 1970 FJ40 with original suspension. i don't want/need a lift kit, but i would like some info on how to get a smoother ride. the body is not sagging, so i don't think i need to replace the springs. any idea appreciated ! cheap = better !!:eek: peterfj40 02-10-2002, 10:51 AM by original suspension, do you mean stock schocks too?? if so, you may want to repalce those with RS9000's or something softer...if your shocks are 32 years old, they may be a little tired/wornout/dead...oh and goood luck getting them off if theyve been on there sicne 1970 RHINO 02-10-2002, 12:55 PM you could also go through all the bushings and lube or replace them. they get hard, bolts get rusty, ect.. ect.. | |
