I was wondering if there is a way to tap the stock ford steering box for hydraulic assist? or if there is a different setup that works because i can't go full hydraulic because it still needs to be road legal. Hope someone can help me out. Thanks

i tapped my 79 with a 3/8" NPT thread and it works great, no leaks, noticable increase in power. I tapped a hose out the front and one out the top plate. the hose out the front was for left hand turns and the one out the top was for right hand turns.

you will need an extension for you fluid resavior. i use PVC with a rubber coupling to mate it to the pump housing and a standard pvc coupling and cap on top (with a vent hole drilled).

Bleeding the system of air is a bear of job.
