Looking at buying either the Hobart 625 or ESAB 650. Anyone have any experience with the two?? I have a hobart welder and love it. CyberWeld.com is where I am looking. They seem to be comparable prices. Thanks guys!

Hypertherm. They have great tech support as they are US based company. Great consumable life. I have the Powermax 1250 that was ~$2600 new.

i just ordered the hypertherm 600 from harris welding $1480 to my door. (should be here tomarow :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: ) it sounds like it may be just a bit smaller than the two that you are looking at. after lots of research i chose the hypertherm for the same reasons seanp stated above. the 600 may be a bit more than i need but i felt it was better to end up with a machine that is too big than too small.

Thanks guys. We will take a closer look at the Hypertherm as well...Always good to look at all your options. Also trying to figure out what it takes to run these puppies...We obviously have the outlets to run them, and I'm pretty confident our big 80 gal. 220v IR compressor is up to the task, but want to make sure we get a machine that is in fact overkill, but not too big for our britches.
