I got a dana 60! I got a dana 60! YAH! Sorry, haven't stopped celebrating yet.

Need lots of help from the 60 veterans....

Picked up my full width dana 60-2 rear (35 spline, semi-floater, 5 5 1/2) and my full width front rear RC dana 44 (30 spline 5 on 51/2) from a Ford.

1. I want to run full width SOA on my YJ. Can you post some pictures of your full width axles on a YJ or CJ? What rim backspacing did you run? I need to be street leagal, so I need to tuck the rims under as much as possible w/o killing my turning radius.

2. I want to run junkyard disc brakes on the rear. Anyone have model / brand / part #'s for the backing plates, calipers, and rotors? I don't want to buy aftermarket kit. I heard you can use Cadillac stuff and that way you get the e-brake cable as well??? Will I have to cahnge m/c or proportioning valve to brake the 60? ( I searched for the rear dana 60 disc brakes and didn't come up with much)

3. Also, have to set up the high steering and the spring over. Saw lots of good articles here on POR about the hi steer set up. I have the chevy knuckles already. What brand of hi-steer arms are working the best for you YJ's with front Dana 44's? What steering set up are the YJ's using? What to avoid? Cheaper is better. Any pic's?

Thanks for your help....:D :D :D :D :D

1. Look for pics from mike - he did full width and has a nice writeup. Had to outboard the springs, but since you're in a YJ, you may not need to.

2. I'm not aware of any junkyard only disk brake setups for rear 60s. You'll need to either buy or fab some of the pieces.

3. Check the Topic of the Week stickey up top. that'll cover your front end.
