My daily driver, a stock 1995 Dodge Dakota, V8, automatic transmission and 4-wheel drive....
Anyway I had a new transfer case installed last year, right at the end of winter so I really didn't get a chance to run it. So now we get our first big snow storm and I'm using the 4-wheel drive every day.
What's wierd is that every time I dis-engage the transfer case, shift from 4H to 2H it makes a loud THUMP and you feel it thru-out the vehicle. It's like someone smacks the floor with a sledgehammer
WTF
The shifter feels normal, it drives normal and the 4-wheel drive seems to work fine
