Toyota Land Cruiser FOR SALE $7000 obo
1987 FJ60, 2F engine, 4spd Transmission, red with gray interior. I can send pics via e-mail. I purchased this vehicle in 1998 (150k mi.) and have performed most service and modifications myself (currently 235k mi.). This vehicle passed CA emissions when I moved there in 2001. Since I returned to Austin, Texas in 2002, I have kept everything smog legal. This vehicle has minor blemishes associated with use but still looks sharp.
Modifications:
Man-A-Fre front shackle reversal kit and leaf springs
Custom HD rear springs and extended shackles
Pro Comp shocks and steering dampener
Custom rear tire carrier for 2nd spare
Custom front bumper with Hi-Lift jack and dual off road lights
Custom roof rack with Con-Ferr Bulldog brackets and HD cover
6-speaker CD system
Rear quarter panel storage boxes
Folding sleeping platform
Halogen headlights
Gel cell battery
New parts:
OEM Carburetor
Fuel pump
Fuel tank (factory recall replacement)
Muffler and catalytic converter
Front and rear brakes
Stainless steel EGR pipe
Power steering pump
Smog pump/hoses
Air rail
Alternator
Upgraded entire A/C system and converted to R134 refrigerant
Rebuilt transfer case (02/2003)
Engine mounts
Resurfaced intake and exhaust manifolds
Radiator/hoses
Speedometer cable, drive gear, and seals
**I have receipts for all parts and maintenance expenses since I purchased the vehicle.
New parts not yet needed or installed but included with vehicle: differential rebuild kit, wheel bearings, u-joints, poly suspension bushings, CCOT HD rear leaf springs
Known Problems:
-Intake manifold leak. Spraying WD40 suggests that it is at the manifold-head interface between cylinders 5 and 6. I have a new OEM gasket to fix it.
-Small gear oil leak from back of transfer case (bad seal?)
-Chip in lens of right tail light
-Dent under rear passenger door; small ding above passenger door; and two behind bumper below grill
-2nd spare tire is flat
