I am so close to being finished with my version of the "Ultimate 44", just waiting on CTM's (shipped Thursday!) and one more Warn shaft.
One detail though, I'm using late model Waggy rotors and hubs, and they have 7/16 inch studs, looks like the press in fitting portion of these studs is .730.
I need to switch to 1/2 inch studs. Anyone know the part numbers or where to get them? I've sorta looked through the drawers at the auto parts stores around here, but no real success, as the studs they stock are a bit short for my liking. In addition, the parts counter guys up here are :smokin: .
Thanks,
Andy

Jegs and summit have 1/2"ers, but seein as how they're made for the straight line crowd, I wonder if the side load strength is high enough for our abuse, anyone have an answer, i'm going to bigger studs too, and have been wondering....how about using Land Rover studs, the ones on my Disco are huge....just noticed I used 'stud' 'disco' and 'huge' in this post... those are Welby's fav. search words:flipoff2:

Andy, I think that I have some .5" that came with my rear disc conversion. I have 5 per side, do you need 6 or 5? They are yours. I will drop them off at kens house tonite and he can get them to you in the AM.

Hey Cutter, If you get to become a member of the Welby fan club do yourself a favor and decline. From what I've heard the Secret Handshake only requires one person  :flipoff2:
Sorry Mark, I'm a sick Fawk with way too much time on my hands.:flipoff2: :D

Sean,
Thanks, I need the front studs. They have a shoulder that is around .730" diameter and is about .75" long and then taper down to the normal 1/2" x 20 tpi stud. I think you are thinking of the rear studs. The fronts have to press through the disk AND the hub, so the shoulder has to be extra long.
