Mom wants some bumpers built for her rig out of 1-3/4" tubing. the rear has to wrap around the sides and the front is gonna have a pre-runner type upper bar. both bumpers will have recievers built in. She wants me to come up with a design for her truck before she buys me the bender :D so i'm lookin for ideas. thanks.

Here is a bumper that I made for Toyota. Used 1.75" HREW. Anyway, you could modify it a bit for the receiver mounts.
This is in progress

This is semi-finished. He needs a winch and he needs to relocate the marker lights (Sorry Joe, but the truth hurts sometimes:D).

Just my opinion here but that thing is ugly. If the bottom hoop/receiver were gone, it would look fine. I would try to put the receiver right where the license plate is and then make a receiver mount for the plat to hide it. Then eliminate the lower hoop.
As for the rear bumper...I dunno, I haven't build any yet. I'll let you know when I get around to making mine.;)

I'd scrap the lower part of that bumper if you care at all about your approach angle.
Here's an idea for the rear:flipoff2:

I agree, the lower part sucks, but if you look closely you'll see that it covers up the bottom of the fan and radiator. I'm thinkin i'll move the reciever up where you said, then extend the ends of that lower hoop out towards the sides to make it look cleaner, then angle the entire hoop back a bit so that it rests right on top of the stock skid. remember this is for my moms rig, so it doesn't have to have perfect approach angles and hold a winch. i just has to look good and hold a couple lights. My mom wheels but nothing too hardcore, tho she has been talkin about dual ARBs and TeraLows :D.

You could do something like this. Imagine that the reciever hitch is behind the License Plate and that the bottom tube is angled back.
