I have a full size flag, and I was wondering how people mounted theirs to the truck bed or whever in the back. So it wont fly off or anything.

more of a chit-chat topic but... broomstick for a flag pole, as for securing the flag to the pole.... lot's of zip-tie's.

Also, be aware that running your flag behind your rig will fray the sh!t out of the trailing edge of the flag. I'd recommend against it.

I have a vertical bar as part of my tire carrier - I just used jumbo hose clamps to strap the pole along side the tube....

Get slick paint. The stuff people use on tshirts to write in the plastic tubes... you can get it at any art supply place, like a Michaels (even Wal-mart has it). Then paint it on the edges of the flag. I did an inch around on each side and it has yet to fraw because it's plastic based and flexes in the wind. You can get red, white and blue or clear....

and plese take it off when it gets all ratty. I'm getting real tired of all the 'patriotic' people with the nasty pieces of flag still hanging off thier cars:mad3:

I zip tied my flag to a 6' section of 3/4" PVC pipe and slide it over my CB antenna.

makes it fast and easy to put up / take down etc.

and yeah this belongs in chit chat :flipoff2:
