is there a big brake upgrade for D30s somehow? How much do rear disks help like if I swaped in a 8.8"?

Rear disks will help some but most of your braking is done in the front. Get some performance friction pads and you should feel a big difference.

Beast40's right...there are better than stock rotors and pads out there. I'll see if I can dig up some info.....to be cont.

does the grand cherokee have bigger rotors? I guess it would have to to slow down the 360 rocket ZJ. Any more help?

I'm gonna stop by a parts house on the way home from work and check out some 5.9L ZJ rotors. Unless anyone knows the size differance?

If you are willing to pony up the cash I have seen Wilwood units on a few TJ D30s. Their units are really nice but they are pricey!

I have an 8.8 in my TJ and I can tell a big difference in the braking but everyone else is correct that the front does most of the work.

well I ended up having to stay late at work and I couldn't check the rotors out. Hopefully tomorrow.

I don't specifically about fit, but the 5.9 ZJ does come with 16 inch wheels, so the rotors may be bigger, but not fit inside 15s. Just a thought, can't confirm it.
