WHat axles are on a 1980 suburban, and what is the pumpkin positioning? Is teh fron a driver's or passenger side drop? And what is the length of these puppies?

1/2 ton or 3/4 ton

If 1/2 ton:
Front: Corp 10 bolt or possibly Dana 44
Rear: most likely a Corp 12 bolt

If 3/4 ton:
Front: Corp 10 bolt or possibly Dana 44
Rear: Most likely SF 14bolt

Of course you never know with GM. :rolleyes:
The front axle had a passenger side pumpkin.

If it is a 1/2 ton, it would probably be a 10 bolt front w/ a 12 bolt rear. 3/4 ton would be 10 bolt w/ 14 bolt FF rear. My brother has an '80 with a Dana 44 front. His '79 has a 10 bolt. I have seen a '79 1/2 ton with a 44 up front from the factory. Don't know why they are like that. Front is pass side drop.
