I am a newb and I fucked up my truck today. I was down shifting to first and I gave it a bit of gas and the truck just started jerkin really bad and now when I go to slow down the truck jerks really bad or when I try to start going and a huge ticking noise is coming from someone around the back left tire. But if I get going it will shift fine like from 1st through 5th its only slowing down and starting up. anyone know what might be wrong. I have no clue cuz like I said im only 16 and a newb. Id appreciate any help.

What kind of truck? Motor? Trans? Lifted? Bigger Tires?

Its a 95 toyota with a 4" suspension lift 35 x 12.50 tires and a v6 dont know bout the trans. Its a really bad clanking noise not ticking sounds like maybe a gear or something someone told me I may have broke the axle because its down around the left back tire.

Well, jack it up and see what you have. Jack up left rear tire, leave truck in gear and see how the wheel turns? Do it soon so your don't cause any further damage.
