MadMan 02-11-2002, 07:30 PM I'm going to Moab this year! First time. I want some imput on the trails. First my Jeep: 00 TJ 3" Tera w/4"spirngs, SYE, 33s', JKS discos, ARB in the rear, armor all over the place and some other small stuff. I have experince, but would not consider myself a "great" driver. Plus, my wife will drive when she wants. So, please opine on what your thoughts are on the following trails. How hard do you think they really are, what is the best trail(s) (if not on the list) etc... Thanks in advance:beer: :
1. Cliff Hanger
2. Flat Iron Mesa
3. Hell's Revenge
4. Metal Masher
5. Moab Rim
6. Poison Spider Mesa
moabyj 02-11-2002, 08:44 PM i dont think you would have any problem on any of the trails you listed....they all should offer harder obstacles if you want to try them with bypasses if you dont
pay attention on hells revenge....its not really hard but there are holes and dropoff u can fall into if your not paying attention.
moab rim is a constant of camber climb...probably the most technical of them but you still shouldnt have much problem there.
have fun..i think you made good choices for your rig
MadMan 02-11-2002, 08:59 PM maobyj,
thanks for the tips:beer:

Be sure and plan one day to do the big whammy of Poison Spider Mesa to Golden Spike to Gold Bar Rim, all in one shot. Do plan on about a 10 hour trail ride though ... bring food.
And remember, no crapping on the rocks, peeing either!
And for heaven's sake, don't step on the crypto !!! You won't see much crypto on those trails, but if I remember right, you'll see a lot on Cliffhanger and Moab Rim.
cmk
