I have a Th350 in my Toyota. It was working fine until Friday.

On Friday I went down to the river and the gears were working fine. I tried to cross the river and had watter half way up the doors. So obviously the tranny was under water. I have extended breathers on the axles, but not the tranny.

It works great in reverse and First. But it wont shift out of first. and if it does (hardly ever) then it feels like neutral. I have tested the vaccum line. It works good.

Possibly the vaccum modulator??

If its was low on fluid, it wouldnt move. so I figure its not low.

I havent drained the fluid and changed it yet. I will probably doo that on wednesday reguardless.

Thanks for your help.

I was wheeling with a Jeep last year that got water in the tranny. It acted the exact same way. I thought the tranny was DOA but the water was not letting the converter work right and it would not shift out of 1st. Weird thing is I checked the fluid and it looked fine. Kid changed the fluid and filter and it worked fine. Try that first. :D

Cool.

I didnt do anything to it yet, but it started working. It shifts a little harder, but works good.
But now I think my engine is messed up. It may just be a gasket or 3 :D
