okay....this may sounds like a newbie type post, but I couldn't think of anywhere else to put it.

I got a call a few minutes ago from a buddy that said he got his XJ stuck trying to be a "hardcore" rockcrawler....so, me, keeping in mind that he mostly a mallcrawler, drove out to see what I could do...

turns out, he was trying to slip through kind of a "V" notch, and the truck slipped into the grove, pinning in on one side against a HUGE rock.....

so, now i'm trying to figure out how to recover this POS XJ that has no hitch, no tow hook kit, that is laying almost on it's side on a huge rock....


any ideas?

um, hook the chain/tow strap to the frame and jerk that fawker out :rolleyes:

Its an xj, no frame. I'm assuming tires up in the air. Strap around the axle is about all you got. You could roll the windows down and strap around the roof, but its up to you.

the driver's side tires are in the air....

I figured he was probably screwed.....moron...well, in a few hours i'll be off to try and save his ass.....as usual...

EDIT: like was said earlier....the axle it the only real bit....another option is to find someone with a hitch for an XJ and see if ya could bolt it up.(cloud be interesting with it on its side)....but if it were me, id take the time to bolt up a hitch instead of strappin from the axle...unless its a POS 35 :evil: :flipoff2:

ya, it's a p.o.s 35....I got there...and no way where we going to get it out the way it was...

sooo.....he's buying a hitch, and we are going to install it on the truck the way it sits....

any pointers? and don't worry, I've already gave him lots of shit for being such a tard...
