Thomson stems are pretty good...have run them on my XC and DH bikes without a problem.

I have a Raceface stem that I used a couple years ago and it's still in good shape. I live in Pittsburg and work in Conrord. I bought it new and used it during the summer of 02. Then ended up getting a moto-x style stem by White bros. I also have a Club roost bar that's bolted to the stem as well. If you are interested, I can take some pics or you can check it out.

On a side note, your last name wouldn't happen to be Meyer would it?

i have a brand new never installed Race Face 100mm 10* rise stem you can have for 20.00 and it is 2 bolt

i'll post a pic for ya tomorrow, as for the model i'll have to look it up for you, and it fits a threadless fork 1 1/8 i belive
