Seriously, how the heck do you guys do stuff like this for these prices. With REs price increase these are well over $10 cheaper and they appear to be made better!!
Can you guys make these with threaded rod welded on to make adjustable links? That would be pimp! :grinpimp:
As always... :smokin:

That is an awesome price. I second the adjustability can you guys do that 3/4-16?

wow, I was pondering RE joints for my toy buggys links but these might be a better option. Definitely more inexpensive. One question though, why nylon for the races? wouldnt UHMW-PE be a better option? Im not a materials expert or anything, but I use UHMW-PE between the leaves in my K5s springs and man that stuff is durable. If its cold flowing on me, its so slow I'll be 849827 years old before it effects performance.
anyway, yeah, I second the call for pre-welded-on threaded rod. how long are those prices good for?

I will answer this one, we have tried UHMW on this product as well as our other joints. It does not work well where there would be a load or shock. It initially deforms or compresses and becomes loose and noisy. This is fixable by adjusting but we felt it was an inferior plastic. We have switched to the special nylon to overcome this condition and it has worked very well for almost a year of testing.

To answer this matter, they are in the works already. Stay tuned to our dealers.

Larry, I am confused...does Mad make these or Summit Machine?
I'm guessing Summit Machine.....
They also manufacture the Jimmy Joints for Poly Performance and were the original manufacturers of the RE Joints, before RE bought their own tooling to do it all in-house...

I wouldn't recomend it. That would only leave .070 wall thickness on the neckdown of the ball.

What is the flex degrees* ?
? Oil injected Nylon races?
Hate to be pestamistic here but Nylon deforms, doesn't it?
Curious to know what set ups these have been used in and long they are lasting with what type of abuse?
Joint sounds great any Users with feeback with there use of application?
I'm still looking for Delrin races, that's the Bomb :cool2:

These have 30* of misalignment.
Nylon is extremely tough. It doesn't deform like the UHMW races. These have lasted over a year so far in some daily driven Jeep's. I feel confident that they will last alot longer, they just haven't ben out there that long. Delrin is very brittle and can break with temperature changes (not that I think they would in this application, but it's not the best material for this).

Secrecy? Not really. Here is what happens: I post a price and other people(meaning shops on this board) call bitching and moaning about the price. How many threads in the vendor forum actually have a price in them? Take a look at all the super sales, blow out's and BullShit spring clearance sales going on here...do you really belive that?
I also feel that if you are seriously interested in them you can pick up a telephone, if you are not you wont. If you feel you need to call another vendor go ahead. I am glad all we do is so appreciated  with the giveaways and such and we are so deserving of comments like that.

Touchy, touchy Larry.... look me up in your company database and then talk to me about my appreciation for you as a vendor - my name is Todd Nelson and I live in 77005.
Perhaps you need to represent yourself better than "TJ Fan" with some animated porn chick picture -- I was not aware that you are from Mad4wd -- I know, I know, you're going to tell me that it's written above your Avatar and it's in your signature, but Marketing 101 would tell you that my failing to associate "TJ Fan" with Mad4wd is a failure on your part. Just a little thought for you!

Todd,
No problem, I am going to start a "MAD4WD" vendor ID and this should have been done a long time ago on my part. I did have a price listed, then the bitching began..so what do we do?
I need the disclaimer: "The thoughts expressed here are not an actual representation of Mad4wd or....blah, blah, blah" :D under my sig.
thanks for the support Todd!

Larry thanks for the advice on the phone. I got my order in good condition a couple days ago and I can't wait to get the arms made for these. The joint and adjuster together are perfect combo. And it's nice to know I'm not relying on 3/4 inch heims any more.
Got my 18 today thanks alot :) Now it is time to get to work.

These will not replace the Rubicon outers. They are different. You will have to check with Rubicon for replacment parts for there joints. Or have Larry quote you some new ones.

Question, you have the outer diameter of the tube and the bolt as 2 5/8", can't both be the same, so which one is what?
Thanks

The O.D. of the housing is 2-5/8". The mounting width between tabs, or the length of the ball is 2-5/8".
I hope this helps. Our new site is up if you would like to look the dimensions are listed.

1 year and 10K miles so far on a daily driven TJ. No grease no adjusting.
It is a superior material for the application.
