On my k5 right now I have a shackle flip and revolvers for rear shackles attached to stock 52" springs. Sometimes they are a good thing offroad, other times they aren't. I wanna try something different. I was pondering longer springs, but right now I dont have serious axle wrap issues, and I'd rather not so 57s and other super long springs are out. Another option might be using RE joints or johnny joints or (insert new "spherical" joint of the week here) and custom shackles to accomodate them. Anyone tried this? results? right now my k5 still sees some highway miles getting to trails and such... otherwise it isnt a DD or anything. Soon it will prolly be off-road only. In the mean time I need something that isn't scarry on the road. I have a $100 off gift cert for RE stuff so I was thinking of just getting 2 large RE joints and seeing what I could do. It'd be nice to get some info from someone else who has done it first though. Anyone?
