As long as you dont mind waiting all day to air up your 4 tires and hope none of your buddines want to use it:D Go York or Go home:D:D:D

For the price of that POS, you could set yourself up with a Powertank (or two if you do the home brew, cheap bastard method) or a York with a few air tools. A waste of money IMHO. Can't even operate air lockers...assuming that you have them.

Way too much cash for a slow compressor with a limited duty cycle and output.

I bet the people who answered you do NOT have a QAIII. I do have the QAIII and for and electric and for a person who is interested in filling up their tires ONLY (wont run air tools as 70psi maximum) it is an excellent choice. I was able to fit it under my TJ hood by eliminating the factory airbox and the total time from unpacking to installing was about a 1/2 hour. You can fill a 33" tire from 15 to 30lbs in about 85 seconds. True its not a York but its the best ELECTRIC compressor you can fit under your hood IMHO. JOHN

***** Correct and there is a reason!!! I have used the QAIII and was very dissappointed in it. It it big, and takes up a lot of space for something that is only good to fill tires~!

YORK!!!!

If you want an electric compressor with some power, look into a rear A/C compressor from an '88 or newer Suburban. This is about the only thing DC that'll have the gut to do what you want.

Other DC options are compressors from air ride suspension systems on Caddy's, Lincolns and whatnot. You should be able to get one of these from a yard for $10, but I'm sure they're not the most powerful things out there.
