Alright here is the scenario, Automatic 99 xj 4.0 97K, When I put it in drive or reverse no problem, when I start to accelerate it starts to make a hollow sounding metalic noise. Sometimes when I put it in gear it kind of lurches forward a bit, likes its shifting hard. Went out there today and put it in gear and went up and down the driveway no problem, so I am thinking shift linkage somewhere. Anyone experienced this before. This is my DD, so I appreciate any help.
