Okay search didnt turn up much on this one.
I am getting ready to fab up a traction bar for my d44 in the rear of my blazer, and I am going to mount it to the axle tube as close to the diff as possible. But here is the problem. My exhaust is totally in the way on the passenger side for anything to mount up.
Would mounting the traction bar to the driver side axle tube close to the diff have the same effectiveness as if it were mounted close to the passenger side of the diff? Thanks in advance... :usa:

It will probably work OK as long as you plan on using a truss shaped traction bar with a shackle in the front.

It will still be effective, just not as much as if on the passenger side. Also don't waste your time with a single point mounting. Do 2 on the axle tube and one on the other side with a shackle or whatever.
