I took the rig on the trailer to the rubicon, trailer brakes worked fine. Couple weeks later I hooked up to the trailer to tow a buddy's rig for him. I have this thing where I double check everything before I move anywhere. So the chains are on, light plug is in, jack is up, the lock is down, and all the lights work. I get in the truck and have no trailer brakes? I double check the plug and everything is good?? So I bust out the trusty test light to see where I have lost power. Here is where I get stumped. I have power under the hood, power down the frame railes of my truck, power at the plug. So I plug the trailer back in and start working my way down it. Well I got power all the way to the wire going into the brake drums of the trailer. So I jump in the truck, but still dont have trailer brakes  I went over everything like 6 maby 7 times cant figure it out. Well about a whole head of hair(pulled out), and every cuss word in the book(6 or 7 times) :mad3: I decided to start at the battery again. I took off the shrink tube I had over the main power connection. This is where I discoverd I had a good enough connection to provide enough power to light the test light but not enough to actually operate the brakes. The connection was a little corroded so I decided to redo it. That was the ticket, Brakes work like new again. The reason I posted this is because I was stumped for a long time, and if someone else has this problem maby they can relate back to this thread and save the headach's :)
