The clip is from Top Gear a UK magazine program, I think they were putting forward the case for the best car in the world ever.

Its not a new program, but it the first time I've seen the link on the web.

Cool vid....but I don't think what the guy has to say really applies to american uses of rovers....very much a status symbol in the US. Present company excluded.

ahhh rovers.... my disco is my baby.... i don't know about vermont, but in montana they're a bling symbol. you drive ANY kind of rover -- beat up, brand new, etc.. -- and people think you are loaded in the $$$ dept....
stupid people in groups... gotta love it....

I drive a beat up range rover that is 17+ years old. 200k miles on it and leaks oil more than the Valdez....but people think it means I have $$$. When I bought my used audi.....never heard the end of it.
Yeah folks...I'm really raking in the $$$, I bought my whole fleet for less than you paid for your Ford.
