For the time being while I am in the process of building my flat bed I'm running just the frame. I have my lights set up and working, and I also have mud flaps that cover the width of the tires and about half way down. Should I be cool or is there something else I need to do. Thanks Rob:question:    :skull:

Hey, just go by my motto, "It isn't illegal, until the cops pull U over for it!" But in therory, you would probally need fenders over the tires, and that should cover U.

That should be cool but just to be a good neighbor you might put some kind of cover over the top of the tires to cut down on the rocks thrown up and into peoples windsheilds

On my flatbed my tires stick completely out the only thing covering them is the giant mud flaps (truckers mud flaps). I've had cops say that's more than enough coverage so you should be fine with just the mud flaps.

This is along the same lines as a thread in the chit-chat. Check this out for the details:

Bottom line is that so long as you can keep from throwing water/mud/etc to the rear of your vehicle (i.e.: mud flaps got ya' covered), you should be ok. May want to dig a little more just to be sure there isn't anything else.
