Hello Y'all,
Thinking of getting a Bronco II year 84 - 88 somewhere in there, must be 4WD V-6. What are the differences in the years and what are some things I should look for?

Thanks,
Derek

there isnt much of a difference between them really. 84-85 were 2.8L carb, 86-90 2.9L efi. 86-87 had a slightly larger TB. they all had a dana 28 ttb front and ford 7.5" rear axles, except a few in '90 had a dana 35 ttb front.

common spots to rust are outside on fenders around tires, and the floor pans.

body style 84-88 same, 89-90 same.

packages offered are probably the biggest difference. XL, XLT, XLS, XL Sport, Eddie Bauer. probably a few others.

check out rrorc (http://www.rrorc.com) , it will have all kinds of bronco 2 info, there are a few dozen guys there with them.

Also, the 86 and priror rigs had a lerger spindle on the front axle. The 89 and up models were 2" wider via the axles and the 91 has a frame thats about 1/4" shorter.
