Alright guys I need as many opinions and advise as posible here. My rig is a 76' Scout II with stock engine with headers and duals, T-19 and a Dana 20. I just wasted the clutch this weekend wheelin. I have had this clutch in the truck for about some where between 3 to 5 years and I have to admit I am a lazy SOB and I had not adjusted it from the get go correctly so most of this is my fault. That said what I need is to replace it with something you all think will hold up to abuse. The brand that was in there was a Borg Warner Brute Force. By the way when I did the clutch I steped up to the 12" disc and presure plate. So fire away with experences and opinions and help me make up mind.
Thanks in advance.

ummm, pull it apart, if things are too scarred up toss in a new disc and be on your way.
you didn't say what the rest of your truck is like so how you abuse it.
Are you sure its "gone"... I know mine was because I pulled piece of the disc out of the cover, but it takes ALLOT of abuse to wear out a 12" disc.
Have you tried adjusting it now??

i have done a SOA with add-a-leafs, 9" rr w/auburn spool and 4.88's, moser 35 spline axles, D44 frt w/Detroit and 4.88's and Moser 31 spline inner and outer, 35" Goodyear MTR's, disc frt & rr, D20 w/Twin sticks, Full cage. The whole truck was set up for calrocs and arrca rules for modified stock class, but i do all around wheelin with it like Colorado and New Mexico. If you guys need more info to help me determine what to use give me specifics as i am having some brain fade today.

If'n ya wasted a clutch in only 3 - 5 years yer doin sumthin wrong. I'm still runnin the same 12" in my scout for over 20 years and in my 514 powered dually for at least 15. :flipoff2: :flipoff2:
