Hi guys,

With my tereflex lift basically rotting away (3", ruined shocks, ruined adj. CA's, etc) and after noticing some rubbing in the right rear corner from my 33's, I have decided to upgrade to a better suspension lift. I really like the RE 4.5" SF kit. However, my Jeep is my daily driver, and I need to be somewhat practical.

My big question is how much of a difference in handling, stability, etc would there be between the 3.5" Superflex kit and the 4.5" Superflex kit? Regardless of which I choose, I am also going to purchase a SYE kit and a Tom Wood CV shaft. I appreciate any input. Thanks

-K

you shouldn't notice any difference in the drivability. i just installed a 5.5 superflex with 3/4 inch spacers and it handled like a champ, better than my yj with 2.5 spring lift.

For a daily driver, you should look into the long arm suspension kits. They perform a lot better on the road than the short arm kits. I had the 4.5" superflex suspension (with the 3" coils) on my TJ for a while, but I changed to the 4.5" coils and 33's just before I sold it. The 4.5" superflex rides well, but you do get some front wheel lift when you steer hard and accelerate.

Search, I am sure it has been covered a lot.

To see a pic of the front wheel lift, go to 4xdoctor's website and look at the pics of Brad Kilby's white TJ.
