: Speaking of Steering Hoses

Anyone ever get something other than stock made? What about PS Reservoirs? The stock one sucks and leaks bad, at least mine does. I would rather get a smaller one. Also would like to replace the hoses with something that will ultimately hold more pressure (eventually thinking Ram-Assist) and won't leak either. Are the fittings on the ends typically British and nothing matches them or can I get a local shop to make some new lines that are more durable?

He laid his hands upon me and healed my illness...or at least that is what he whispered in my ear as he was laying his hands upon me. :barf:

From Mike's recommendation, I had a local hydraulic shop replace my hoses. They basically cut the hose off the old fittings, brazed a threaded fitting on the hose-end of the stock fitting and added new hose with threaded endings. (make sense?)
It was pretty cheap compared to the factory part. Find a local shop in your area; it shouldn't cost more than $60.

Go to D-90.com and search for a thread called:

another one bites the dust--110

You'll get the idea...

I did the same thing for the high pressure A/C hose. $30 Worked out great. All brand new fittings included.
