My trunk is always in bind when I put it in low range. It feels like its trying to over power the brakes and clicks when I shift to park. This all started after a resonant trans rebuild. The tranny guy said it is the planetarys in my 241. Anyone esle have this problem or was the guy full of shit and trying to get out of fixing the problem.

the planetaries in all np chain driven cases make a lot of noise.

as far as the trans clicking when going into p, mine does too so i always go into nuetral, hold it there long enough for it to shift into n, then throw it into park. with that method it always goes in nicely. ill still be rebuilding it this summer.

I would suggest doing a little fact finding. first put your transfer case in low range on hard flat ground(somewhere you can put in neutral without rolling), then with engine off and the trans in neutral try and push the truck by hand(use friends), listen for the driveshafts to whind up and start binding. if it does anything like this, you have alow tire or axle ratio problem.
the trans could be missalined to the T case, but I would think you would have heard or seen problems sooner.

I am wondering what was done to the trans that it didn't do it before the rebuild??????

i have never seen a transmission to transfer case mis-alignment problem on any of the aluminum cases in a gm.
try to be more specific in your description.

was the noise there before?
does the noise get progressively worse with vehicle speed or is it engine speed related? does it matter what gear the trans is in? have you checked the fluid in the trans and t-case just to make sure?
