I have look around here and elsewhere and can not find out the following:

What exactly is the Buick 215 bolt pattern? Is BOP/Cadi or is a something completely different (I read somewhere it has an extra bolt hole or something)

Which tranny should it have, 727, TH400 or what?

Let me know and thanks

I want to say BOP, but I could be wrong. Chubster's '85 should have a manual transmission per the VIN number, but strangely it is an auto; the trans selector appears similar to my auto '83, which is a 727. The 727's used in the early RR's had an International bolt-pattern with an adapter plate to the Rover engine.

Just an FYI, D&D Fabrications (www.aluminumv8.com) now sells adapter plates to mate the Rover/Buick engine to a late model GM transmission (700r4 and 4L60E I presume), so that might be an option if you are thinking of swapping to a different trans/transfer case. They also have adapter plates for these transmission with the Buick 300 crank conversion, which has previously been a road-block with the stock Rover slush-box.
