There are a few ways to go:
I have the VanAaken box that simply plugs into the factory harness in about 1 minute or less. This is one of the things I did to mine and I think they gain 60 hp or so.
There are others that offer more power gain but they tap into a single with with a scotch lock connector that seems jury rigged to me. These are available at http://www.piersdiesel.com/
A set of 275hp injectors helps too and they are fairly cheap compared to the boxes. there are also performance injectors available from www.dieseldynamics.com
You must get boost and pyrometer gauges though if you do any modifying to your engine though.

The stinger setup from Banks engineering is sick. It all depends on what kinda cash you wanna spend. You can increase your HP by something like 200 or 250 horse and bring your torque up to around 750lbs/ft.

My rig is a '99 24 valve also. I did the 275 HP injectors from tstproducts.com. Took less than 2 hours to install. It made enough of a difference to make me happy, but if you're lookin to stomp powerchokes, go with a box for more power.
In my old '96 I put in a new torque plate in the pump and it had more power. I believe it was the 230/605 version from TST.

From my experience the Banks stuff is quite a bit overpriced for what it is. That quickturbo or whatever they call it now is nothing more than a 14cm Holset turbine housing available at most all the other vendors. The banks exhaust is 3.5", you can get a 4" for less from diesel dynamics, Jardine and a host of others. TST is very knowledgeable, the owner worked at Cummins on the B series for several years. The sky's the limit just watch those EGTs.

either one of these guys can get what you want, but they prefer EDGE products---a lot of us use the EDGE EZ box which is similar to the Van Aaken((VA) box----if you do this it's a must to get an EGT guage--you should consider a Fuel pressure guage also and then a boost guage----Cummins diesels shouldn't be run over 1300* for more than the 1/4 mile race or sled/tractor pull or you could end up needing a new engine---you may also need to upgrade your clutch or auto tranny with either the VA or EDGE, depends how you drive----I have a 99 also, but it's poking out over 400hp when I turn everything on, so I got lots of info I can pass along---but really talk to one or all the guys above---or call Pier's at his shop--a lot of these sites don't have everything listed, so you need to talk to them----chris
