I have a set of 15x7 aluminum rims with 4" of backspacing. I want to add beadlocks to these (TRs, as far as I know, they'll do it) and run them on my toyota buggy. Tires would be Iroks in either 36x13.50x15 or 39.5x13.50x15. Is that rim gonna be wide enough? will adding the BLs make the width of the mounting surfaces narrower or wider...? anyone running those size iroks on a 7 or 8" rim? On my blazer I have 35s mounted on 8" rims... but my 39.5s are on 10" rims. any thoughts?

I have 305/85-16 coyotes on stock 6.5" (?) GMC 8 lug steel rims. At max load pressure (35 psi) the fronts have a very nice contact patch. The rears have to run at about 25 psi to get the full contact patch. They're 37" tall overall, and recommended for 8-10" rims. I'm not at all unhappy with the way they sit. They're not rock tires, so I don't know how they'll work at lower pressures. YMMV.

Adding a weld on beadlock to your current wheels will add 2" of width. So you will have a 15x9 wheel.

One more thing, Trailready wants $200 or so a wheel for them to add beadlocks to your current wheels. Not really worth it unless you have some really bling wheels. You can buy new Trailready wheels for around $250 or so.

Well it will definatly work. The sidewalls will be buldged out farther with the norrower wheels, but nothing really wrong with that except for them being more susceptable (sp?) to rock rash.
I've got my 44x18.5 TSL's on 10" wide wheels. The reccomended size for them is at least 12" wide wheels. They work perfectly...with no beadlocks or anything on them.
