check out azrckcrawler's buggy thread in this forum. he's got a "zuk-based" buggy w/ dual toy t-cases.

he gives very good details and descriptive impressions on what works / what doesn't. i don't if he mentions weight specifically, but i'm sure if you asked, you'd get all the info you'd need.

Wait, your woried that the doubler box and adapter off/for a Toyota will be too much wieght for what your building.....

You need to rethink what you said, the doubler adapter setup wieghs in at what 15 pounds or so?

If your worried that the extra wieght is going to be too much for your rig compaired to the benefits of the extra low range...well you been smokin' kangaroo poop :flipoff2:

Seriously, you need to rethink the question you asked.

Azrockcrawlers first buggy was Zuki based (I own it now :D ). I am putting in a full Toy drivetrain, dual cases and all (as soon as it warms up enough to work in the garage  ). I am more woried about the extra engine wieght (22re)that the extra case. I dont know the particulars for the engine your using, but thats more of an wieght issue than the extra case.

Oh, and while your reading Chris pages, read the 'Project Moneypit' pages first, that is the first rigs build up.

there is alot more usefull info in there for what your doing.

Good luck :flipoff2:

All the Zuk stuff together weighs about as much as an empty Fosters can.
All the Toy stuff weighs about as much as a case of Budweiser!!

OK...seriously..forget about the weight difference in the trans and t-case. The difference is minimal and any increase would be well worth it considering the increase in performance. The Zuk engine weighs about 135 Lbs or about 61 Kilos...if I remember my metric conversions. It is light. You need to find out about the toy engine. It is possible that they have started using more aluminum in the 2.7 than cast iron for the engine. The Toy 22R's are really heavy.

61Kg's far out thats light hey i pretty sre the 3rz weights in at about 135Kg's which is twice the weight of the zook engine. am also considering a 4agze supercharged toy engine, any 1 run these over there ??

te only concern i have bout fittin the 2.7 is that i will have 2 chop the firwall heaps 2 get it in there and i dont realy wanna do that if possible, it will make it easier 4 rego if i dont......
