so my drums are trashed on my rear 70...pretty much last thing to do to get this to be a DD and 1 ton trail rig at the same time is putting discs on the rear.

i ordered BTF disc brackets...i have the 3/4 chevy rotors, and pick up the calipers this weekend.

I have a newere MC on my scout II, but i was wondering if it's powerful enough with the booster for the 1 ton discs. I have heard about putting the 80's corvette master cylinder on...and i could buy one for $18 so thats not a big deal, but if i don't have to buy one then why buy one?

i will be replacing my prop. valve with one from speedway, and then running one of their residual valves...to my old scout lines, and then from there all new lines on the rear end.

any other opinions with the scout II mc, and the prop. valve...im pretty sure i need to have a good adjustable prop valve and the scout II one wont' do.

I ordered the BTF disc brakets for my dodge 60 and they wouldn't fit worth crap and the holes were tapped crooked. I've yet to return them. We just got a drawing off the net and cut our own out and they worked great.

I hope yours work.

yeah, the holes for the mounting look different on each bracket i can understand them being cut in different locations on the bracket...but the spacing from each hole looks different from each other, gonna run a tape on them.

EDIT: just measured the bolts on the axle tube flange and they are roughly 3 1/2 inches apart in a square, and so is the bracket holes...there are two different options on where to mount the bracket with those holes and i was looking at the farthest away from each other...illusion. anyway, i don't think ill have a problem mounting.

anyone have suggestions on master cylinders though?? what is the bore on the scout II stock MC?

Big Dave runs a stock MC and booster on his scout that has discs front and rear and it stops great.
