: amc20 axle

i'm tryin to get the hubs (pieces of shiat) off my amc 20, does anyone have any tips, i've taken the nuts and washer off and i've tried using 3-jaw pullers, and i've broken 2

take entire axle assy.

put in dumpster.

drive to junkyard.

buy dana 60 rear axle.

put in truck.

drive home.

install.

be happy :flipoff2:

would love to, but at 5.25 an hour and about 20 hours a week in college, dana 60s aren't top of priority, the double cardon drive shaft is right now, unless u have a d60 u'd like to ship to me

There is a puller that you bolt to the lugs and tighten w/ a hammer, then smack the dog poop out of it and the hub should pop off. I'll see if I can get the p/n from the one I have @ work tomorrow.

I don't know if you can do it with a puller on, try to put it on tighten up as much as you can without breacking, then just start beten the hell out of it with the bigest hammer you can find. But don't take it apart, if you don't have too. You need to get it back on at about 600lbs. then do it about once a week for a month. You probably will still spin the key. Go get some one piece axles from summers bros. and be happy. I bet the hell outa mine with a lock right and 33" and no problems. Don,t think I would use it for anything bigger.
