XJJack 02-13-2002, 07:29 PM On this free version, you can not build, only change the TJ modle and color. And it is hard as hell to drive with the keyboard, can this be used with a steering wheel setup?

Lozy01 02-13-2002, 09:15 PM the best wheeln game i have played is the Cabela's off road. I really like it you actually get to wheel and use actuall equipment

RockyXJ 02-13-2002, 10:41 PM I'm snapping, fawkin newbie can't download, grrrr. I"m itchin to play this, but it keeps on saying a recursive error is detected.
dirtgreg 02-14-2002, 07:27 AM make sure you use the option with the download manager to download the file. I think their server is kinda flaky, it kept dropping my download halfway through when I didnt use the manager.

in the jeep 101 course, if you go back to the ranger station to tell them about the forest fire, they give you a winch. then at the end of the race, go to camp and equip your jeep with it. then when you do silverton pass you can winch out the trucker by pressing w. its pretty sweet.
ranger 02-14-2002, 07:30 AM Does that game only have jeeps to drive, I don't want to spend all my time fixing it!:D
TNToy 02-14-2002, 09:46 AM Good thing I didn't try to download this at home on dialup

Thanks for the tips man! I eventually did figure it out but i'm baffled about the little cross symbol that pops up when you push the "W" I understand what it represents and that it turns red when your able to connect your winch to something but is there anyway to move that cross where you want or is it all a matter of vehicle placement? so far i've decided that its just vehicle placement!
So whats the story with the big RED X's that your find by the trucker and by the next obstacle where theres those 5 big logs in the road. I've been able to successfully retrieve the trucker but I cant seem to get any kind of bonus for moving those logs. I've winched them out of the way, i've rammed them out! Any tips on that part??
I've got the winch and the tubular front bumper and even though its a jeep its starting to look better!!

I had a similar problem when I bought Screamer 4x4. My laptop is 233, the game has a minimum of something like 150mhz, I couldn't play (screen refresh of like 5 seconds). Put it on my 500mhz work computer, and it was fine (and FUN!)

dxwwn 02-14-2002, 06:57 PM this game is all about the rubicon edition wrangler that is supposed to have 4:1 t-case gears right?? well then why is the crawl ratio in the game so shitty?!?!?!

ok you press W to get the X, then move and click the mouse where you want it to attatch, then throw it in reverse and yank that trucker out. then press w again to release.
Bgcj5 02-14-2002, 09:25 PM where the hell do u downlad it I registured and it keeps sending me back to the eligability and regristration screen even after it has accepted my info. I can't find any where to get it from
ToyDozer 02-14-2002, 09:25 PM Ahhh the mouse!! I kindof assumed that since 99.9% of the rest of the game doesnt use the mouse then the winching wouldnt use it either! So much for that!!
Hey, have you done the registration thing and submitted any scores? They have that leaderboard thing where you can add friends and what not to keep tabs on each other. We should have a PBB leaderboard...
So my next question is what are the huge red X's on the ground all about and is there a money or parts reward for moving those 5 logs just after the truck?
Thanks man!

I winched all those logs onto the X and they gave me 15,000 points. I guess thats it. I would have rathered a rubicon express long arm conversion kit, and some 36" Swampers.
ToyDozer 02-14-2002, 10:50 PM Thanks for the tips Dirtgreg.. Now i'm so close to being in the top ten on the leader board I can't seem to stop!
My latest is 42,450 on the silverton track.. About 1,500 more points and i'll be in the top ten! There really not many points between the last 5 places either so moving up should/could be doable!!!

Weird. My computer is 533 mhz and has 320 megs of ram, and it just won't play right :(....
Is this a video card problem??
Jimmy 02-18-2002, 03:59 PM Somebody help I want/need the game................the posted links are not working
aaronlosey 02-18-2002, 05:30 PM just go to jeep.com and look for the evo game on there site. the game is kinda cool, but the controls suck ass. plus, i can't get the game to recognize my ge force 2, so i have to man handle the polygons with my 1.7 chip. the game is cool, but the controls just suck.
Pepsiracer24 07-15-2002, 11:27 AM can anyone send this to me? I just heard about it, but they aren't offering the download anymore, I would really like to try it out somehow.

Registration will be up and running again in a few weeks, so be sure to come back and join the adventure. It's low gear high intensity so get ready!
UGET IT 07-15-2002, 01:49 PM The link says the registration time has expired but will return in a fewweeks......:( I really felt like being a web wheeler.
