this is just a maybe but here goes. i was thinking about maybe buying a 78 cj-5 off a guy, pretty beat to shit. has a 304/3 spd/4.10 or so he says. might weld the 20 rear and run q78 tsl's. they are about 36" but can't weight more than a 35x12.5. just wanted to do this until i had some money for a decent build up on something else. anyone want to chime in or flame?

I'd say go for it if you can get it for a good price. It's always fun to have a beater that you can wheel and not have to worry about...

i know it isn't the right way to do it by any means but this year it's vacation or beater. that's my budget. i think i'll have more fun with the beater.

also, a guy i know has fender well headers on his 304. who makes those? one of the manifolds on this thing is rotted through.
