Well I finally got a chance to work on the scout again today. We had some serious family illness that took priority over the project since its inception but I finally got a few hours to get back to it. We got the 60 mounted up front. I had to drive it out of the shop with no brakes and no steering. Pretty exciting. It looks great and it is bigger for sure. The bottom of the frame is 22 inches off the ground as opposed to 16 before. but I also have 37's instead of 33's. I figured it lifted it 3 inches over the skyjacker lift I had. Does anyone have a measurement on drag link length on the Dana 60? I forgot to measure and I didn't have my hi steer arm installed yet. Also do I install the arm over the cap or do I get a different kind of cap for the king pin? I tried like hell to get the old steering arm off the 60. I beat it with a sledge and still nothing. It there a secret I need to know? Anyway If I get the steer in next weekend and the brakes hooked up I could be on the road soon.
P.S. If anyone is interested in my skyjacker lift with ubolts, shocks, springs, and spring plates I'm selling it for 450 plus shipping. I had a buyer but he seems to have lost interest. I thought I would have had these off a couple of weeks ago but my Dad got diagnosed with cancer and the scout didn't seem that important anymore.
