: AC Removal

I did a search and all I could find pertaining to AC was concerning a bodylift. My AC compressor is :nuke: and since I have not used the AC in the past 2 years I figure I might as well take it out and possibly make room for OBA :D So far I have been able to figure out how to remove all of the AC components starting at the firewall and moving forward to the grill, including the condensor. From there I was thinking I could plug the lines running through the firewall. Or is there a reason I should try to remove them and if so how would I go about doing it?

I did a 3" body lift on my '98. If you want to keep it you just take the rad. out and cut some down clearance where the lines go thru the pass. rad. flange. I ended up taking the body lift off and cutting my fenders for clearance. I would suggest just pluging up the lines at the firewall, won't hurt anything and you can go back if you want to. I'm building up my Jeep for rock crawling competition, so i'm ripping out all my A/C. I'll probably regret it in July:rolleyes:

Yeah I have thought about those hot summer days, but at the first sign of warm weather teh soft top comes off and the tonneau goes on. But it has been so long with AC and I don't have to sit in traffic so it is bearable.
