2.8l XJ AUTO TO A 2.5L YJ

Arent all trannies behind the 2.8L xj's the tf904? if so will this tranny bolt up to a 95 2.5L yj? i need an auto

I've got a parts Cherokee with the carbed 2.5, it has the TF 904... so yes, it seems the 60 deg. V6 has the same bellhousing pattern as the 2.5. I'm not trying to push parts, but I have a newly rebuilt 904.

but wht year is your xj? is the 2.5 the amc block or the chrysler? cause there is a difference, right? so is the xj 2.8 the same bolt pattern as the new jeep 2.5L? how much you wanting for you 904? what year is it, etc

There are only two variations of the 2.5 for Jeep... the 83 and down Iron Duke and the AMC 84 and up. Mine is from an AMC 2.5L XJ with the 904 and NP207. It was originally built for my wife, but we then went with a 92 XJ with the 4.0L. Whether or not this tranny would work with a newer computer controlled engine, I don't know, but the bellhousing pattern should be the same.

is the xj 2.8L bellhousing the same as the 2.5L. what do you want for your 904? does it have the cps unit on the bellhousing? will you ship it??
