I am replacing my D30 with a D40 front axle and have found that my leafs are limiting my articulation quite a bit. There is just not enough flex in them. My CJ7 is shackle reversed and I am looking for a leaf spring with 2.5 inches of lift and more flex. I believe I could use YJ leafs, but I am not sure if that is in my best interest becaue I dont know if I want to get into axle wrap. I have a Ford 351W powerplant that adds a bit of weight to the front. Someone mentioned using rear CJ leafs on the front. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Rubicon express reverse wrap 5 leaf 1 1/2 lift and 7 if sprung over. They flex like crazy. The only problem is they flex so much that they dont hold there shapes that well or aleast I havent had luck. I Just got the 6 leaf springs same spring but havent put them on.

I went SUA with rubicon express wrangler 4.5" rear springs in the rear and 4.5" CJ rear springs in the front they come as 6 leaf packs instead of 5 leafs that normally come for the front works well with a V-8 and winch. Also they flex pretty damn well for being SUA hold the lift and fit 35's stuff the tire into the wheel well and drop really well too.
