My son has a 66 Scout 800 & someone has put a dana 44 in the front from a 76 Blazer& GM Corp axle in the rear . the wheel track {wheel mount surface to W M S } is Fr=67.5 " , Rr=64.5" . Needles to say , it doesnt track worth a hoot! I cannot seem to find if GM ever used a Dana 44 fr that was any narrower than the 67.5" . I can live with the corp axle in the rear, its not my fav , but this thing has NEW aluminum 6 bolt rims on it & I really dont feel like springing for another new set , if we had to go to different axles.
Do any of you guys know if there is a a narrower Dana 44 that Gm used which would still have 6 bolt wheel pattern.

A lot of guys are putting full width axle in treir rigs :) . You'll get more responses later this evening. A few pics might help. I suspect that something isn't set up correctly :( .

If it doesn't track, it has something to do with how the axles were put in there, not the axles themselves. After-all, those are stock width for a full-size 1/2T or blazer.

You won't find any stock fronts to match that rear width. But you can take any D44 (or corp 10-bolt) and swap the outers. Or you could narrow it if thats what you really want to do. Not hard. Searches should result some play-by-plays. But don't search just the IH section.

Look for info on "cut-n-turn"s too.... they share many aspects.
