My truck which is an 86 22re ran perfedct until I replaced the head gasket. It now has a slight miss. This morning I pulled my #1 Wire and the idle did not change. It had fire so I pulled the plug and it was black. I cleaned the plug put it back in (the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor are only three weeks old). I fired it up and no change. I pulled the injector plug and put a test light on it and it checked out fine (the light stayed on when the motor was running) When I rev the motor up it has a slight miss, but when I pull the injector wire while it is reved up it starts to miss even more. Prior to replacing the headgasket (Sunday) it ran like a top and idled great. I can't understand what the difference would be. Can a plug just go dead?

Are you using Autolites?? I have had Autolites go bad in just 3 days less than 100 miles so it is possible the plugs are bad.. They are chaep enough I would just replace the suspect one.

I had two BOSCH Plats do this to me.:confused:
