It's been brought to my attention I've been slackin at letting the world know I deal in these. They are 30 minutes down the road from me, Brant set me up as a dealer as part of my sponsorship. My prices are competititve and the little bit of margin I make goes to the team expenses.

He does good work, custom centers and offsets are included in the price. His steel wheels are a great design, stout enough but at the same time not boat anchors from way to thick steel plate being used etc. The formed outer ring is real tough, have not destroyed one yet in 3 yrs of national comp. I got a set of these used and damn have I been happy. The lip makes an install easy and flushes the metal to metal. Its my understanding and experience that bolts break off with beadlocks and have to be replaced all the time. I've broke one from overtorqueing it and everytime I check the torque settings they are okay 95% of the time. These work really sweet and I actually was able to balance them without BB's. Thats a lot better than most setups I've seen. Just figured I'd throw you a review on them :D

I quoted you standard outer beadlocks though inner and outers are available.

Usually, there is not enough clearance for the brakes unless you are running drums,17's or a rockwell with pinion brake etc.

It's a significant upcharge though, competititve vs other new double beadlocked wheels but- makes Staun or hummer take offs look like better options

Could you compare and contrast MRW and Allied beadlocked steel wheels? I was steered away from MRW back in the late 90's and when their factory burnt down I completely forgot about them.

Also, can you give me the weights for 36 bolt 15x8, 15x10, and 40 bolt 17x8, 17x9, and 17x10? I know MRW offers the D-window style in their racing wheels, but can you get it on rock crawling wheels?

Brant can give you any scoop you want from the top of his head- 800 643 3625. In general, the steelies weight 10-11 lbs more than most AL wheels- which can be bling, but also more costly and fragile.

The allied use a similar center, but their lock rings are kinda wimpy and not suited for hard core crawlin IMHO- if you held each in your hand you would appreciate the difference. Pretty sure they still offer D-windows. Brant has owned the shop for several yrs now and does a good job running it. The guy who had it a whille back had lots of problems (personal) so Lyle, the originator had to repo the biz and sold it to Brant- his heart is in the biz 110%.

There was a fire at the factory a few yrs back, tooling/molds etc were wasted- they've discussed getting back into c/f and have made some progress but they are not there yet. There was a few of us (Soni/Scorpion/myself) than ran the c/f's on our crawlers- they were cool but not the hot setup for crawlin- the lock rings were vulnerable and you could break the outer half with a little effort.
