I've got these designed and being made now, introductory pricing is $800 for the kit.

The kit includes 2 outers and a short and long inner. These are 4340, machined for full snaprings, you supply the 297x u joints and snap rings. They fit inside the stock rubber boots, allow for sharper turning. You can spend almost this much for birfields alone and have a lesser product.

Thanks,
Ken

Can you come up with something for the hum-9 also?

Nothing for the hum 9, sorry.

First units a little slow out of the shop. The stubby side appears to be the tricky part, I've got Bobby Long torque testing them now comparing to the database he has from his longfield adventures.

Will advise when I know more... Sorry for the tease

Interested in the testing data. Will you be comparing it to the stock Volvo birfield? Keep us posted.

Ken...tell me how you feel these will help the turning radius. As far as I can tell, the real limitation there is in the housing. Even with the turn stops in or gone, it looks to me like I am still well within the reasonable turning angle of the birfs (although I haven't measured). What are your thoughts???

I may test the stock Volvo but for the time being going with the data Boby has. I estimate there are 5 more dgrees to be had, 36-37 degrees is about max on the birfs, still some room left in the housing and I rather not play close to the bind edge on the birf.
