i have an 89 yj with a 350 and would like to hook up a push buttom start and need help on how to wire it and what wires to use. i have the push button starter and it has two leads: a red wire and a black wire, it is a momentary switch. which wire on the ignition should i hook to the red one too and i should ground the black one right? thanks in advance for any help.

If you have to ask this, you're better off staying far away from electrical work.

Since you've got a 350 in there, its not going to be a simple "connect it to the blue wire" answer.

find your starter solenoid and figure out how it works. From there, the answer should present itself.

if there is only two wires then just run battery voltage to the red wire and the black wire will run down to the solenoid on the starter :smokin: :jeep:

No shayt, Sherlock.
The point is that this is such a dumbfawkin question... If the board has fallen to the point where this is considered a legitimate "Extreme Rockcrawling" question, then it's lost any distinction it ever had from the rest of the bolt-on boards out there.
