Hey guys first post so be nice. I am sick of my power steerign and trans cooling lines leaking. Can someone point me in the right direction for the PS hoses. Can you just replace with something for auto zone or other stores or do they need to be ordered. I am a cheap bastard so help me on this one.
As for the trans cooling lines I hear just remove them and take them to your local hydro shop and they can make them up for you. Any Help :smokin:

How about you go to Autozone and see if they have anything that fits, and then come back and tell us. Appreciate it.
Search Noob! This was talked about just last week!!!

Your 1/2 way there already...why stop with the trans lines? Do 'em all.
Oh and next time SEARCH! :flipoff2:

Yep. Local hydraulic hose shop rebuilt my PS hoses. High pres line was most expensive at about $40, the rest was a few bucks.
I also replaced the trans cooler lines rubber sections with braided stainless-no more leaks.
I'd post pics but apparently I am not worthy without the star...

roverconnection.com or roversnorth.com if you're going to ask the question you get the same kind of answer :flipoff2:

Don't be so quick to jump to the stainless outer sheath. While it looks cool, they are more susceptible to abrasion resistance as there is not as much material between the sheath and the inner hose.
For the oil and tranny cooler lines, compression fittings and hose clamps work fine.

True, that's why I use a section of split rubber hydro hose around the stainless wherever contact may occur for extra protection. I'd do the same if only using standard hydro hose though too.
