Just finished this yesterday........hope it helps. I could use some pics of rear bumpers as that's next weeks project and I have a very limited imagination. :smokin:

So far I liked the SafariGard design witht the brush bar part angle forward a bit. The rear I'm still debating but I am incorporating wrap around corner protection like in this pic. I got some nice body damage Thanksgiving weekend at Uwharrie and I really don't wanna do Tellico until I get my bumpers and rockers done :eek:

Tellico is not that hard, there are a couple of trails that are meant for the full tilt set ups, lower 2, etc... I ran all but 2 or 3 trails for the last two years in a TJ with 3" lift and 33s, and a friend of mine was in a D1 with 3", no rocker protection. No real body damage.
Now Lower two, 12- those are sick trails, lockers, roll cage, the whole works.

I think much of it has gotten easier in the last year or so.

Hopefully there is a pic attached this time.................. I'd like to add some nice corner protection as well but it may be a few months before the budget will allow a tube bender. :smokin:

Newly finished project. No bumper cage so far, but has been done in V1.0 (this is 2.0 and drawings for 2.1 is availabdle in Autocad)

Tobias- this looks like maybe you modified a defender front bumper with new ends and mount brackets? or did you get a steel shop somewhere to create the big channel section with a long length of thin steel?
