I will soon be faced with a very short steep rear driveshaft. I plan on using a CV at the transfer case, and tilting the pinion up as far as possible. The guys at Dynatrac told me that that a Dana 60 could only be tilted up 11 degrees and then the pinion will be starved of oil and burn up. The vehicle will be a high mileage daily driver with lots of highway miles.
Is anyone tilting their pinions higher with long term success and highway miles? would a 14 bolt be able to be tilted higher up than a 60?
thanks for the help
